'We've got R9!' - Arsenal fans react to Gabriel Jesus' incredible performance vs Bournemouth

Gabriel Jesus may not have added to his tally of two Premier League goals for the 2022-23 season during Arsenal's 3-0 victory over Bournemouth, but the Brazilian's all-round game certainly caught the eye.

The former Manchester City star saw his second-half strike ruled out for offside by VAR, before he saw a late effort saved well by Cherries 'keeper Mark Travers.

He did manage to grab an assist as his first touch fell directly into the path of Martin Odegaard to grab his second goal of the game with a sweet strike into the far corner.

Furthermore, the Norwegian's first goal came after an incredible sequence of actions performed by Jesus. He first held of Marcos Senesi with consummate ease before spinning the Bournemouth defender, bursting past Jefferson Lerma, and dancing his way around Adam Smith before laying the ball for Gabriel Martinelli to shoot.

All in all, Jesus successfully completed two dribbles, laid on two key passes, took two shots, was a nuisance for Bournemouth to deal with all game and was awarded Sky Sports' Man of the Match prize.

In fact, his early season form has also seen him become the first player in history to be selected by 80% of Fantasy Premier League owners, the popular fantasy football game played by millions.

In addition to his performance on the pitch, Jesus was handed the captain's armband in the closing stages of Arsenal's win, showing the trust placed in him by Mikel Arteta.
