Manchester United legend Gary Neville has launched another plea for the Glazer family to sell the club and end their 17-year ownership run.

This is the latest plea from Neville, who has recently become vocal about his displeasure of seeing the Glazers own the club and make a series of bad decisions.

Neville became publicly vocal about the situation over the last few years and it escalated after it was revealed the family were heavily involved behind the breakaway European Super League plans in April 2021.

Now, he’s expressed his anger over seeing Real Madrid reveal their impressive stadium plans, and wants the Glazers to go as a result.

Neville asks Glazers to sell

Real Madrid shared a video on their social media feed about the renovations to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, providing an aerial view of the rebuild of the stadium.

Neville quote tweeted the video on his Twitter feed and asked the Glazer family, led by Joel and Avram, to sell the club: “To Joel and Avram. Stop delaying the inevitable and sell now.”

One of the bigger criticisms of the Glazer family is that they’ve been unwilling to invest in Old Trafford and have left it to decay since their takeover of the club in 2005.

Compared to other top English and European stadiums such as the Etihad Stadium of Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London, Old Trafford has fallen behind.

There were reports of stadium leaks from the roof a few years ago, and that was an embarrassingly low point for the famous ground as well as the football club.

Criticism around the Glazer family and protests against them have risen in recent times as a result of Manchester United’s dwindling performances, with many calling out their lack of willingness to invest their own money.

There were protests organized in their most recent home match against Liverpool, and further protests are planned in their next home game against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
