Enzo Fernandez a perfect Jude Bellingham alternative for Man Utd, Liverpool and Madrid

Enzo Fernandez has made a huge name for himself this season having impressed for Benfica in both the league and Champions League, becoming one of their most important players.
The midfielder is often praised for his calmness on the ball and ability to move it forward and it could reward him with a place on Argentina’s World Cup squad heading out to Qatar in the winter.
He has also been linked to several clubs across Europe in recent weeks, and a move for him could be on the cards soon given him fine form at the start of the season.
Several sides such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid have been looking to add to their midfield group, and Fernandez could be a smart option.

All three clubs have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, but may feel Fernandez is a cheaper, more sensible option given the state of the transfer market.
Bellingham is one of world football’s brightest young talents and will cost upwards of €100 million, a fee enough to put off any top side in Europe.
Fernandez will cost much less than that, and he joined from River Plate in the summer transfer window for a fee of €10 million, which will certainly be higher if any club now wants him.
Benfica boss Roger Schmidt is confident Fernandez will remain at Benfica for a while: “He’s a great player, a great person, he’s focused, professional and knows what he does when he comes here.

“Everything came together at the right time, I think he will be here for a long time, half a year is not enough,” the German added on the Argentine midfielder.
Liverpool have been working with the Portuguese market recently, signing Luis Diaz from Porto and Darwin Nunez from Benfica in recent times.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are in need of a new midfielder to bolster their ranks and having seen the success of Bruno Fernandes since 2020, they’ll be encouraged to make a move.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have money to spend having done well financially over the last few years and bringing in someone like Fernandez would be a shrewd move.
