Wind is highly-rated by those within the Bundesliga, having risen through the ranks at FC Copenhagen, who themselves have a big reputation for talent development.

He only moved to Wolfsburg at the start of this year in the January transfer window from Copenhagen, but hasn’t hit the ground running as he would’ve hoped.

Still, he’s hopeful of a big move to the Gunners at some point in the future and says it’s always been his favourite club, with the wish of playing in what he believes is the world’s best league.

Wind talks Arsenal dream

Speaking to Buli News, Wind said that he hasn’t had a concrete offer for a transfer this past summer, but has future ambitions: “There was nothing concrete that I had to deal with.

“I’ve only been here for a bit more than a half year, and I’ve been happy with my time at the club so far, so I’m not thinking about a move away at all.”

The Danish international then admitted his Arsenal dream, but still wants to keep his feet on the ground and have a good career with Wolfsburg before dreaming of anything else.

“But If we look into the future, Arsenal would be a dream destination for me, as it has always been my favorite club. In general, I think the Premier League is the best league in the world, and it would be exciting to play there.

“But as I said, that’s not what I’m focusing on at the moment. I’m doing well here in Wolfsburg, it’s a good club for me, and the Bundesliga is a great league to play in.

“At the moment, I’m just focusing on my performances here, and then we’ll see if I’m good enough to take the next step sometime in the future.”

The 23-year-old scored five goals for Wolfsburg in 14 appearances last season after his winter move, and is already a full Denmark international.

Many believe he is one of the brightest talents from the Copenhagen academy in recent years, and he scored 46 goals for the Danish club in 113 matches, having risen through their ranks previously.
