Liverpool transfers: Every signing and sale for 2022-23

The Reds ended the 2021-22 campaign with two trophies – the League Cup and FA Cup – and were two wins away from completing a historic quadruple.
They worked extensively on ensuring Mohamed Salah stays at the club and their efforts were rewarded as the Egyptian signed a new contract to keep him at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp wished to keep his squad strong for the 2022-23 season and made one major reinforcement, but they’ve also lost one mainstay in the side.

Darwin Nunez - £67.5 million from Benfica

Liverpool were keen to improve their attacking line and saw Darwin Nunez as the ideal fit, bringing in the forward on a mega deal from Portuguese giants Benfica.
The Uruguayan scored 34 goals in 41 appearances for Benfica last season and Klopp felt he’d be the ideal fit to take this Liverpool team forward.
Other than that, there were no other major signings, as Calvin Ramsay and Fabio Carvalho – two emerging youngsters from Aberdeen and Fulham – were brought in to provide cover.
Arthur was a deadline day signing in the summer transfer window as Liverpool were seriously short in midfield following many injury problems in their side.
The Reds were less busy in the January transfer window, but beat Manchester United to the signing of Netherlands attacker Cody Gakpo.
