Manchester United had a tumultuous transfer window, and there was even a week in it when they were offered 15 players just after their disastrous start to the season.

It started off with deals for Marko Arnautovic and Adrien Rabiot collapsing, and they were offered a host of players from across Europe soon after.

Manchester United started the season with 2-1 and 4-0 defeats to Brighton and Brentford respectively and went on a scramble in the transfer window as they looked to improve the team.

Several other clubs also saw the chance to take advantage of the Red Devils’ desperation, and wanted to offer the players they were looking to offload to them.

Man Utd were offered many

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United were offered more than 15 players from across Europe in one week as they approached the end of the summer transfer window.

A midfielder was a priority for them, and they were given the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes, who was also in talks with Italian side Juventus.

The Bianconeri themselves were looking to give the Erik ten Hag’s team a midfielder and offered Weston McKennie, while United themselves considered Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.

Right-back was another area considered, and Barcelona’s Sergino Dest as well as Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Meunier were suggested to the English side.

Up front, the likes of Christian Pulisic from Chelsea, Napoli’s Hirving Lozano and Atletico Madrid’s Yannick Carrasco were offered to the club, as they chased Antony from Ajax.

Manchester United were patient and refused to budge to any of those offers, instead bringing in Casemiro from Real Madrid and meeting the fee set by Ajax for Antony.

Their form improved significantly after, as they’re now on a four-game winning run, having beaten Liverpool, Southampton, Leicester City and Arsenal since then to push them up the table.
