Rabiot speaks out on failed Man Utd transfer
Adrien Rabiot was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window, but remained at Juventus as his deal to move broke down.
The Red Devils were keen to improve their midfield after a difficult start to the season and Rabiot was identified as a target towards the end of the transfer window.
A move was reportedly close but it broke in its final stages as Manchester United couldn’t agree personal terms with Rabiot and his mother, who also acts as his agent.
Now, Rabiot has spoken about the failed transfer and suggests that his sole focus is with Juventus and not on any potential move in future transfer windows.
Rabiot speaks on failed transfer
The French midfielder has been in fine form for Juventus since the transfer window came to a close and has been talking about the transfer rumours from the summer.
He was asked about the failed move, and then about his contract situation at Juventus as he is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
“There was a lot of talk, but I’ve always been focused both in training and in the game," he said. "The renewal? I don’t know.

“At the moment, there are other things to think about. I’m focused on the pitch and doing well for the team, to get them out of the difficult and then we’ll see what happens."
“Honestly, I’m not even thinking about the World Cup. I think it’s the same thing for the others. We need to stay focused on the club,” he added.
So far, there is no interest in Rabiot and he is still in talks over agreeing a new deal that would see him stay at Juventus, leaving his future in doubt.
He has made eight appearances for the Bianconeri this season, scoring twice – both came in one game against Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League.
