Klopp: Liverpool cannot compete with Man City

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has believes no one can compete with Manchester City due to the financial strength of the Premier League champions.
The Reds have had a tough start to the season, sitting 14 points behind the league leaders Arsenal, having taken the title race to the final day of the season in the last campaign.
Things haven’t been quite as rosy this season, and Klopp has spoken about Liverpool’s transfer activity compared to Manchester City ahead of the two sides’ Premier League clash on Sunday.
Liverpool only signed four players all summer, but only one of them – Darwin Nunez – has had a primary role in the team so far this campaign.

Klopp speaks on financial disparity
"Nobody can compete with City," the Liverpool manager told his pre-match press conference. "You have the best team in the world and you put in the best striker on the market. No matter what it costs, you just do it.
"City won't like it, nobody will like it, but you know the answer. What does Liverpool do? We cannot act like them. It's not possible, not possible."
Klopp then spoke about Newcastle United’s financial strength following their Saudi-led takeover last year which has helped them rise to becoming on of football’s richest clubs.
The German mentioned the “ceilings” some clubs have with regards to transfer activity and that he has restrictions on him at Liverpool.
"There's no ceiling for Newcastle. Congratulations. Some other club's have ceilings."

"It's just clear: there are three clubs in world football who can do what they want financially. It's legal, everything is fine, but they can do whatever they want. Competing with them? It's not possible to deal with that.
"I heard the Newcastle [sporting director Dan Ashworth] say there's no ceiling for this club - he's absolutely right. There's no ceiling for Newcastle. Congratulations - some clubs have ceilings."
The Reds are buoyed following their 7-1 win over Rangers in the Champions
League and are hoping that it spurs them on for the rest of the campaign.
