Kylian Mbappe has used media leaks to strengthen his position while Paris Saint-Germain have no intention to sell the star in January, FootballTransfers can reveal.
Reports broke on Monday and Tuesday that he wants to leave the club as soon as possible, with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid thought to be among the frontrunners for his signature.
The 23-year-old, who is valued at €142 million by FootballTransfers, has not informed anyone at the club that he wishes to depart, including sporting advisor Luis Campos, and the general feeling is that the recent reports are nothing more than a power play.
FootballTransfers understands from those in France that if PSG sell it will be in 2024 and not within the next year.

Man Utd would love to bring in such a superstar name to the club, but with Cristiano Ronaldo’s current wages, such a move would be unfeasible at present.
With Real Madrid now in the running, reported first by The Athletic, there is pressure on Man Utd to appease Erik ten Hag and make the move for the highly talented attacker in this upcoming January transfer window.
Though the official line has been that the club will look to spend in the summer rather than the winter window, the number of clubs after Gakpo means the Premier League side are likely to move sooner, we understand.
