Klopp has been at Liverpool since 2015 and has won every possible trophy he could have with them once, making him their most successful manager in three decades.

This season has been complicated by lesser spending compared to their rivals, and they have set the minimum goal of Champions League qualification.

In Klopp’s era, Liverpool have qualified for Champions League football in each of the last six seasons, and they have a plan in place in case they don’t and in case Klopp leaves soon.

Speaking to Sport Bild, club CEO Billy Hogan has said Liverpool are prepared in case Champions League revenues don’t come in and they can’t rely on European football.

“That (Champions League qualification) is always our goal at the beginning of the season,” Hogan said “Of course, qualification is important because of the turnover.

“But we manage the club in such a way that we make sure that we are as sustainable as possible. You can’t automatically count on Champions League qualification.

Hogan then spoke about Klopp’s ambition and what he has done in recent times to make it more successful than when he first arrived at Anfield back in 2015.

“Jurgen wants to leave the club in a better shape than what he found it. He succeeded in Mainz, Dortmund and Liverpool,” Hogan added on.

“Sales have doubled since he arrived. The stadium will be significantly bigger. We have a new training ground. The club has grown significantly in the past six or seven years.

“We want to continue that because we think there is still a lot of potential,” Hogan concluded, suggesting there is a plan in case of the German manager’s departure.
