Man Utd and PSG make contact with Inter for Lautaro Martinez
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on Inter forward Lautaro Martinez, with a view to make a move for him in the near future.
Martinez has been great for Inter in recent years, stepping up in important moments, as evident by his Champions League exploits over the week, where he scored against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
Over the last three years, he has become an important figure for Inter, spurring them on to a Serie A win in 2021, ending an 11-year title drought for the Nerazzuri.
Now, according to reports in Italy, there is interest in him from other clubs and he could be set for a move abroad in the near future.
Interest high in Lautaro Martinez
This comes from Gazzetta dello Sport, who say that both Manchester United and PSG got in contact with Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano in recent days to discuss the possibility of a move in the future.
The Red Devils are in need of a new forward: Marcus Rashford currently leads the line, with Anthony Martial’s fitness record being poor and the future of Cristiano Ronaldo still uncertain.
PSG, meanwhile, have been in the market for a forward to alter their tactical plans and could target Martinez as a result of it, with some suggestions that Lionel Messi made contact with Martinez too.
In a week that has been riddled with not great news and injuries for Argentina, Lautaro Martínez has been a ray of sunshine. A goal and an assist in a big game for Inter against Barcelona. This could do his confidence a lot of good. Well deserved. pic.twitter.com/UN5F0wkFlr

Martinez only agreed to a new deal with Inter less than a year ago and has a contract at the club until the summer of 2026, but there is no release clause, leaving clubs free to negotiate for his signature.
Martinez, though, has no intention of leaving Inter anytime in the near future and is fully focused on their season ahead, with the aim of challenging for the title in Italy and going far in the Champions League.
Additionally, he is also putting his focus on the World Cup, as he is Argentina’s first-chocie forward and the Albiceleste are in good form heading into the tournament in Qatar this winter.
