Jude Bellingham is likely to have the biggest transfer saga of 2023 with a host of clubs across Europe interested in bringing the youngster over their sides in the next year.

Bellingham has been a star for Borussia Dortmund since moving there in 2020 from Birmingham City, and his development has been tracked by many in the two years since.

In that time, Bellingham has become a Dortmund regular and has also made his way to Gareth Southgate’s England team, with a place in the World Cup squad this winter almost certain.

Now, with the World Cup looming, interested clubs will have to make a decision on a move quickly and they may do so in the coming weeks to avoid losing out.

Bellingham decision has to be made soon

Bellingham is set to cost any interested club over €100 million, and the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are keen on buying him.

It’s now expected that these clubs will have to make a decision before the World Cup as his value could well soar above that if he performs well in Qatar.

In the past, it has been noted how players’ values rise drastically after performing well in football’s biggest tournament, and that would well be the same in Bellingham’s case.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano believes the same: “Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and, of course, Real Madrid really want him. I think the precise fee will be clear after the World Cup, not now; but for sure, more than €100m.

“His value is rising and I think it’s absolutely right: he’s showing quality, leadership, talent, he’s more than a midfielder,” he added.

So far this season Bellingham has scored eight goals across all competitions, including four in the Champions League, coming in each of the opening four group stage matches.
