William Saliba has had an impressive start to the season and has played a huge role in helping Arsenal get to the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners have won nine out of a possible 10 matches this season, and Saliba has been instrumental to their impressive form as the Gunners have had a solid back-line.

The Frenchman is in his first season in Arsenal’s first-team having spent time away on loan over the last few years and is showing that he is capable of succeeding at this level.

He is also attracting interest from clubs across Europe for his performances, and a move could well be on the cards for him in the near future as he continues to grow.

PSG eyeing Saliba move

According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs, the 21-year-old defender is on the radar of French champions Paris Saint-Germain, who are looking to get better in defence.

The Parisians targeted Milan Skriniar over the summer but were unable to strike a deal with Inter to bring the Slovakian to the club, and may look for other options in the meantime.

Jacobs said: “PSG are definitely looking for defenders. I see no reason he would want to leave but the only caveat there is he did love living in France. If PSG did come in, it might give him a decision to make.”

Saliba currently has a contract at Arsenal until the summer of 2024 and the Gunners are actively working to tie him down to a new long-term deal.

They want to put off any potential suitors and possibly get them to fork out a mammoth fee if they are to push actively for the French defender.

Saliba has arguably been the best centre-half in the league over the last two months, and has shown that his loan spells away at Saint-Etienee, Nice and Marseille helped massively in his development.
