Chelsea ready to usurp Real Madrid and Barcelona for Endrick

Chelsea have entered the race to sign Brazilian wonderkid Endrick and are now reportedly leading the race to land the Palmeiras star.

Endrick, 16, has been gathering transfer and media attention for some time, with clubs across Europe taking note of his incredible performances at youth level.

He has now translated that into senior football, becoming Palmeiras' youngest ever player and their youngest ever goal-scorer. In fact, he's netted three goals and one assist in just 180 minutes in the senior side, proving just how talented he really is.

As a result, interest in signing him is incredibly high, although teams will have to wait until he turns 18 years old in 2024 to actually purchase him due to international rules.

Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have all been pursuing Endrick for a while, with all three clubs set on signing him as soon as possible.

However, Chelsea have now entered the race and now appear favourites to sign him, according to the Evening Standard.

The Blues have reportedly held multiple talks with the 16-year-old and his representatives, with Chelsea keen to persuade him to choose Stamford Bridge over the Parc des Princes, Camp Nou or Santiago Bernabeu.

The Evening Standard have reported that PSG and Real Madrid will fight Chelsea for Endrick's signature, but it's Chelsea who are currently front-runners to sign one of the most exciting talents Brazil has produced since Neymar.

What has Endrick said?

Despite the hype surrounding him, Endrick remains level-headed, telling Sportsmail in July: "How do I cope with the hype? I try to remember that I’m very young.

"I try to remember I’m still a child and that it’s only a game. I don’t want to take it overly seriously.

"Yes, I want to be serious about my career but during the game I want to have as much fun as possible."

He has currently amassed five senior appearances for Palmeiras, but looks set for a move to Europe as soon as he is eligible to do so.
