Transfer talk surrounding the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who is a veteran of Real Madrid and Juventus, has intensified in recent days following the broadcast of a spectacular interview in which the 37-year-old admits that he feels “betrayed” by Man Utd. On top of this, he criticised senior members of the club, including manager Ralf Rangnick.

Although there are few obvious options for Ronaldo as the January transfer window approaches, his place at Old Trafford is in greater doubt than ever.

And now the son of Piers Morgan, who conducted the explosive interview, has apparently confirmed the will of the player to depart Red Devils.

Spencer Morgan, an Arsenal fan, posted an image of Ronaldo’s Nike Mercurial boots, including a video from the man himself confirming the authenticity of them. Cristiano made light of his struggles this season as he said: “I scored a few goals [wearing these boots] - not many! But I scored a few.”

Ronaldo's final Man Utd goals?

The bombshell, though, was dropped by Spencer, who claims these are the boots in which Ronaldo scored his last goals for Manchester United – clearly implying that the player has no inclination of featuring for the club again.

“Christmas came early this year. Thank you, Cristiano, for the boots you banged your final Man Utd goals in. Now let's find you a new club,” he posted.

Ronaldo has reportedly been fined heavily for his actions, while these latest revelations will only serve to frustrate the club further as it is another obvious indication that he wants to depart the club during the January transfer period.

Ronaldo is presently on World Cup duty with Portugal, but even here the Man Utd transfer saga will not escape him, with club-mate Bruno Fernandes giving him a frosty reception when they met up.

What boots does Cristiano Ronaldo wear?

Cristiano Ronaldo has been wearing the Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly 9 CR7 boots during the 2022/23 season.

The yellow boot that he gave to Spencer Morgan are Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly 9. These are the yellow variety.

The Portugal international striker is the face of the Nike Mercurial boot brand and has worn these shoes since making his debut at Sporting CP.
