Will Bayern let Choupo-Moting join Man Utd? The latest
Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzić has provided an update on the future of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting amid interest from Premier League giants Manchester United.
Choupo-Moting, 33, has started the past six games in all competitions for Bayern, scoring seven goals and assisting a further two during that time.
The former Stoke and Paris Saint-Germain forward has filled the void left by Poland international Robert Lewandowski following his summer transfer to Barcelona, with Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann entrusting the veteran with a starring role at the Allianz Arena.

As a result of his impressive goal-scoring form, Choupo-Moting has emerged as a possible transfer target for Erik ten Hag's Man Utd.
The Dutchman has enjoyed an upturn in form at Old Trafford after a worrying start to the Premier League season, with the addition of Casemiro in midfield helping the Red Devils climb up to fifth place in the English top flight, two points clear of Chelsea and four points clear of Liverpool after 13 games.
However, the striker department remains an issue for Ten Hag's side. Anthony Martial showed promise in pre-season, but is currently out with a x injury and can't be relied upon due to his fitness problems, while Cristiano Ronaldo's attitude has been questioned and he's scored just three times this campaign.

It's meant that Marcus Rashford has sporadically been used as a centre forward, which isn't his preferred role. Therefore, Man Utd's transfer priority remains a new striker, as it was during the summer transfer window.
Darwin Nunez and Victor Osimhen were both linked with a move to Old Trafford over the summer, but the former joined Liverpool while the latter is enjoying a spell of fine form at high-flying Napoli.
Therefore, Man Utd have reportedly turned their attention to signing Choupo-Moting as a short-term fix. However, Bayern are keen to keep hold of the Cameroon forward.
What has been said?
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzić has admitted that Choupo-Moting is a player the club would like to retain, revealing to Sky90: "We'd love to keep him. I’ve a good relationship with his agent. We'll meet and see if we can satisfy him. He’s a big asset for us. We are in contact and Choupo feels comfortable in Munich."
The 33-year-old's contract at Bayern is set to expire in 2023, meaning the Bavarians must tie him down to a new deal or he'll be free to begin talking to potential new clubs in January before moving on a free transfer next summer.
