Man Utd eyeing La Liga manager if Ten Hag falters
Manchester United are keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone for the future in case things don’t work out with Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils appointed Ten Hag back in April and he started work over the summer, but has had some complicated spells in his time.
Things have been generally positive, though, as Manchester United sit close to the Champions League spots and their style of football is entertaining to watch.

Simeone eyed up by Manchester United
According to Fichajes, Simeone is one of their top targets in case things don’t work out with Ten Hag, but his job looks secure at the moment.
Ten Hag has had some difficult moments to deal with, including early losses and the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo after his contract was mutually terminated by the club.

However, Manchester United have backed him with signings, having brought in players like Antony, Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and others for big sums.
They have done well to challenge with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool and will want to keep pushing on once the World Cup ends in December.
Simeone, meanwhile, has been feeling the heat at Atletico Madrid having seen his team crash out of the Champions League in the groups stages, finishing bottom of the group and losing out on European football entirely.
#mufc statement: "Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team's progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch."

The 52-year-old has been at Atletico Madrid since 2011 and has had success generally, but he may be on the way out as recent results haven’t been that great.
Manchester United moving for him would come as a bit of a shock, but it’s one that’s possible if results aren’t good enough under Ten Hag in the coming months.
