Mudryk 'is already at Arsenal' as Arteta targets new 'level' of transfers
Mykhaylo Mudryk’s potential move to Arsenal has already becoming the running joke of the dressing room, according to Shakhtar Donetsk keeper Anatoly Trubin.
Mudryk has been watched by Europe’s top clubs after impressing for Shakhtar in Europe this season and Arsenal are reported to have the strongest interest in him, with the forward admitting a move to the Gunners would interest him.
The 21-year-old could leave Shakhtar in January after his side were knocked out of the Champions League, with the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle looking to rival Arsenal for Mudryk’s signature.
IT’S TIME: Mudryk ‘plays final Shakhtar game’
Arsenal had made a bid for Mudryk late in the summer transfer window but failed to match Shakhtar’s reported €50 million asking price, however Trubin insists that the speculation has not negatively affected his teammate.
“I like that he perceives all this well and he is focused only on himself, his and the team game. Fans don't really see much,” Trubin said. “No one sees what he is doing outside the football field.
“All these transfer rumours affect him only in a positive way, because he enjoys what he does. And in the team we can tell him - well, you're already at Arsenal, let's all go!”

Arteta: Arsenal need to level up signings
Mudryk could be targeted by Arsenal in January after Mikel Arteta revealed the club would need to sign ‘another level of player’ to build upon their good start to the season.
The Gunners sit top of the Premier League after 12 games and there is confidence around the club that they can continue their title push with the right additions during the transfer window.
“The planning of that period is extremely difficult,” Arteta said. “First of all because we know the January window, how special it is, the opportunities that you have, the short window that you have.
“Once you get the player they are straight away competing, so there is not an adaption process. And obviously with the position that we are in right now as well, it demands as well another level of player - and that player has to be available.
“We will look at everything and let’s see what we can do.”
