What is Piers Morgan’s love-in with Cristiano Ronaldo?
Cristiano Ronaldo further severed ties with Manchester United in his latest interview with Piers Morgan where he claimed he feels betrayed by the club.
Ronaldo has wanted to leave Manchester United since the end of last season and has had poor relations with new manager Erik ten Hag.
He refused to come on as a substitute in their win over Tottenham in October – something he was suspended for by the club – and his latest interview with Morgan will not go down well either.

So, what is Ronaldo’s relationship with Morgan and why has he chosen to speak to the English journalist to get his side of the story out?
Ronaldo and Morgan's relationship explained
Ronaldo and Morgan started having a good relationship when the two did an interview together back in 2019, called Cristiano Ronaldo Meets Piers Morgan.
Prior to that, Morgan had been a critic of Ronaldo and his behaviour and seemingly preferred Lionel Messi over him, according to some older tweets.

He even wrote a story for the Mail during Ronaldo’s first stint at Manchester United labeling the Portuguese footballer as a “spoilt brat.”
However, since the first time the two spoke together on an interview, Morgan has publicly backed Ronaldo several times, including on many occasions this season.
He has publicly criticized Erik ten Hag for leaving Ronaldo out of squads and has even advocated for Ronaldo to move to Arsenal, the club he supports.
"I feel betrayed."

All of that led to the interview which was released yesterday on Morgan’s show, Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV, which had been known to struggle for views previously.
Since the release of a few clips of the interview, Morgan has backed Ronaldo, tweeting out a quote by Saint Augustine in support which read: “The truth is like a lion; you don’t have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself.”
