Man Utd learn Leverkusen's Frimpong transfer stance
Jeremie Frimpong is of interest to Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen’s Simon Rolfes has spoken about the player’s future.
Frimpong has impressed for Bayer Leverkusen in recent times and has risen through the ranks, earning a place on the Netherlands national team and he even travelled to the World Cup.
Manchester United are on the look out for a new right-back having seen Diogo Dalot make that position his own, and they want another player to provide competition.
Now, with interest high in Frimpong and Erik ten Hag keen to make a move for the player, Bayer Leverkusen have provided an update on the player’s future.

Speaking to Sky Germany, Rolfes, the club’s sporting director, said: “We are very relaxed with Jeremie. It would be fatal if he didn’t draw attention to himself from big clubs with these performances.
Leverkusen speak on Frimpong rumours
“He is very conspicuous with his way of playing and is an enormously important player for us. I told him that he will still get his playing time with his quality within the tournament.
“He can decide a game with a single action because he’s incredibly quick and good at dribbling. We’ll be happy when he’s back [after the World Cup] with us. Jeremie has a long-term contract at Leverkusen, so we’re very relaxed.”

Frimpong, who is 21-years-old, has a contract at the club until the summer of 2025, which puts Bayer Leverkusen in a good negotiating position and they can demand a big fee for him if they wish to sell him.
Manchester United also have Aaron Wan-Bissaka among their ranks but his future at the club is unclear given that he hasn’t played for them in a competitive match all season.
There are other players Manchester United and Ten Hag are targeting for the position but as of now, it seems as though Frimpong is one of the top candidates.
