Rashford signs new Man Utd deal but De Gea can leave
Marcos Rashford has signed a new deal with Manchester United, dashing speculation of a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but there is no such offer for long-time goalkeeper David de Gea.
United had a number of options to extend contracts among their first-team squad, and they have taken them up in the cases of Rashford, Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and Fred, each now tied to the club until June 2024.
There has been speculation surrounding De Gea's future since the start of Erik ten Hag's tenure, though. The new manager dominated Dutch football with a ball-playing goalkeeper in Andre Onana at Ajax, and De Gea always seems like an awkward fit.

"On the feet, for me, he has the capabilities as well," Ten Hag said as part of wider praise for De Gea last month. "I think when you see this season, he is progressing from game to game on that part. And that has to do not only with the keeper…"

But having to improve upon a central aspect of your game at 32 doesn't quite cut it, and United are looking at other options, including Porto's Diogo Costa and Everton's England No.1 Jordan Pickford.
De Gea could yet stay, but he would need to take a sizeable pay cut on his €430,000 per week wages and faces the very real prospect of being an understudy next term.
The deals for Rashford and Dalot in particular are important for United.

Rashford relief
Rashford had inherited Cristiano Ronaldo's No.9 role this season before the Portuguese put the club on blast in a controversial interview with Piers Morgan, and had eight goals and three assists to his name before he struck three times for England at the World Cup.
PSG have been keeping tabs on the Red Devils' academy graduate with the futures of Kylian Mbbape and Lionel Messi uncertain.
Dalot has emerged as Ten Hag's first-choice right-back, meanwhile. The Portuguese has been attracting interest from Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, and if he were to eventually live, the new contract at least guarantees United would receive a significant fee.
