Chelsea star in shock Ronaldo comparison
Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo but not because of the Portuguese star’s goalscoring record.
Aubamayeng joined Chelsea on deadline day in the summer transfer window and has generally struggled to make an impact in the first-team.
He was signed by former manager Thomas Tuchel largely owing to the relationship the pair shared at Borussia Dortmund, but that wasn’t replicated in London.

Now, Neil Warnock has compared his situation to that of Ronaldo’s when he was at Manchester United and suggested Chelsea are better off without Aubameyang.
Aubameyang compared to Ronaldo
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "You get players like that and you are better off without them. Chelsea are short of strikers but people like
Aubameyang are after themselves really, they look after themselves as players and they’ll throw the manager under the bus rather than take any blame.
"So I think Graham Potter has to deal with it. It’s similar to what’s happened with Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United. "I said United should let him go in pre-season and that was no disrespect to Ronaldo.

"Leopards don’t change their spots and I don’t think Aubameyang will ever change. You know from Arsenal to Chelsea, now he looks the same type of player. On his day, as good as you’ll see, but his days are few and far between."
Aubameyang isn’t part of the starting picture since Graham Potter took charge and Chelsea have been linked to other forwards over the last few months.
Chelsea signing Aubameyang specifically because of his relationship with Tuchel, whom they subsequently sacked within a week of his signing, sums up the absence of joined-up thinking which has been the thread throughout Todd Boehly's 8 months in charge. https://t.co/6BnYDkQJSM

The Blues have had an interest in signing Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid on loan but are unwilling to pay a big loan fee for the Portuguese players.
The club has had a focus on signing young players in the Todd Boehly era and the gamble on Aubameyang has not paid off so far, with the player’s future uncertain at Stamford Bridge.
