Dani Olmo to get special Barcelona and Real Madrid clause in boost to Man Utd
Dani Olmo is of interest to Manchester United and while a transfer in the final days of the January transfer window is not possible, a move in the summer could be on the cards.
Olmo has been at RB Leipzig since 2020 and has done well for the Bundesliga side while also boosting his international career, becoming a regular for the Spanish national team.
There have been questions over his future and there is a possibility he could depart RB Leipzig, with interest from Manchester United as well as the Spanish duo of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

However, a deal could now take place where Manchester United get him in the summer from RB Leipzig with a clause that allows one of the Spanish duo to sign him in the future.
Olmo clause could benefit Man Utd
German journalist Christian Falk spoke about the situation to Caught Offside: "No chance of a January transfer for Dani Olmo. We heard that talks with Olmo for a new contract are far along, so it seems he will extend his stay with RB Leipzig.
"The good news for interested clubs like Manchester United is that Olmo has a clear wish to move to the Spanish top flight, so he’s going to get two different release clauses in his contract. They haven’t been signed yet but we think they’ll be added.

“One that allows clubs to sign him for €70-75m (£61.5m-£65.9m) but another where, if Barcelona or Real Madrid are knocking on his door, he can leave for €60m (£52.7m). I think, if United are still interested, they’ve got a chance there."
Olmo has always made it clear that he sees himself at Barcelona one day, the club where he started off his career as a youngster.
He left Barcelona for Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia where he impressed before a move to RB Leipzig in 2020.
