Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea
Chelsea have told Benfica they will pay Enzo Fernandez’s €120m release clause in instalments as a move for the player has reignited.
The Blues have already confirmed the signing of Malo Gusto from Lyon on Sunday. And now they have gone in again for the Portgual international after their offer of around £75m plus bonuses was rejected earlier in the month.
It’s thought a Chelsea contingent will fly to Portugal on Monday to host a new round of talks with Benfica - with the hope they can get away without paying the entire fee this window.
Harry Maguire to Inter
Inter Milan have made an enquiry about Harry Maguire.
The Italian giants are hoping for a new centre-back, with Milan Skriniar joining PSG.
Erik ten Hag doesn’t see Maguire as part of his plans though the Manchester United captain wants to wait until the summer.
The England international has started only one Premier League game for United in 2023. Man Utd have done well with the partnership between Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane without him.
The move could free up funds for Man Utd this window, but it would be extremely tight.
Moises Caicedo to Arsenal or Chelsea
Moises Caicedo made his feelings clear over his future in a sensational social media post last week.
"I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful,” he wrote.
His bombshell came after reports that Brighton had knocked back a €68m bid from Arsenal - while Chelsea also have an interest.
It is thought that Brighton have put a €102m price tag on the midfielder. But given the player’s public stance, there will be more to this one yet.
Pedro Porro to Tottenham
Despite news of a collapse in the deal, Tottenham are continuing to hold talks with Sporting Lisbon in the hope of luring Pedro Porro to north London for €44m.
There was an issue with the payment structure from Sporting’s side but now it appears the move is back on.
President Frederico Varandas told Porro that he could leave the club after the final. Talks broke down and the player was distraught.
But now it seems they are back on again and he will likely become a Spurs player.
Milan Skriniar to PSG
Inter Milan defender Skriniar confirmed over the weekend that he has signed a contract with PSG.
Skriniar’s contract expires at San Siro at the end of the season and it had been clear for a while that he would not be penning an extension.
The only question now is whether Skriniar joins PSG in the summer on a Bosman Transfer or moves for a fee in the closing hours of the January window.
Inter have demanded €20m to sell him immediately. PSG would like to buy him right away but have offered less. The feeling is this one could get done by Tuesday evening.
Naouirou Ahamada to Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace have agreed a €12m deal to sign Stuttgart midfielder Naouirou Ahamada.
The central midfielder will join on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with the option of a further two years, with the Frenchman having a medical on Monday and now pending the announcement.
Ahamada joined Stuttgart from Juventus, making 19 appearances in all competitions this season for the Bundesliga side.
The 20-year-old is also part of the France youth side and has huge potential.
Conor Gallagher to Newcastle
Newcastle remain keen on signing Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher as they look to add a new midfielder to the ranks before Tuesday, with Jonjo Shelvey heading out the door to Nottingham Forst.
We hear that Newcastle maintain an interest in the midfielder, as they look to bring in a cheap option to cover for the aforementioned Shelvey. Everton had their approach for the player knocked back so now it's in the hands of Eddie Howe's side.
The Magpies were also linked to Sander Berge from Sheffield United last night.
Newcastle are certainly keeping their options open following the moves of Anthony Gordon and Harrison Ashby.
Kamaldeen Sulemana to Everton
Everton have made a verbal offer for Rennes winger Kamaldeen Sulemana.
The Toffees are looking to bolster their ranks after enduring a poor season so far - with new boss Sean Dyche taking the hot seat there in the hope of keeping them from relegation.
Everton have put in a verbal offer for Sulemana before Tuesday’s transfer deadline - but Southampton are also keen, it’s been reported.
The Merseyside club are waiting to hear back from the French club since putting in the verbal offer.
Rennes are reportedly open to a sale but are believed to be holding out for a fee of €30m.
