The Red Devils are eager to sign a new forward soon with the squad severely depleted in that area as only Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are available in that position.

Cristiano Ronaldo left the club in November after his contract was terminated following an unsanctioned interview with Piers Morgan where he was critical about many elements of the club.

Ten Hag striker successes - his best signings

So, which are the best attacking signings Ten Hag has made in his career?

Sebastien Haller

Ten Hag first discovered Sebastien Haller’s talents when he was at Utrecht, signing him from Auxerre and he was the leading point of a talented Utrecht attack.

With them Haller helped Utrecht qualify for Europe in his time there and consistently challenge Dutch football’s traditional big three.

Antony

Ajax signed Antony as a youngster from Sao Paulo and developed him into one of the most exciting wingers in Europe in his time.

It took him a while to settle, but when he did, it was entertaining to watch, showing his qualities in the 2021-22 season as Ajax won the league.

Sebastien Haller

The second time Haller signed for a Ten Hag club was better than the first and he returned after time in Germany and England, becoming Ajax’s biggest signing.

He delivered goals at a consistent rate, including 11 in his sole Champions League season and was important in Ajax winning the league title in 2021-22.

Dusan Tadic

There were a few eyebrows raised when Ajax signed Dusan Tadic but Ten Hag knew what he was getting when he got the Serbian to the club.

In his time at Ajax, no player was more productive than Tadic, and he was a key part of the Dutch club’s Champions League run in the 2018-19 season.
