Haaland has most Premier League goals in a season for FIVE years - and it’s only January!
Erling Haaland scored another hattrick on Sunday for Manchester City, in the process creating another truly incredible record.
Haaland hit a treble in the Premier League clash against Wolves at the Etihad, meaning he has 25 league goals this campaign in just 19 games.
Incredibly, scoring 25 goals would have been enough to win Haaland the Premier League Golden Boot in each of the previous four seasons.

Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-Min shared the Golden Boot last season with 23 goals each for Liverpool and Tottenham, respectively.
In 2020-21, Harry Kane took the Golden Boot alone with 23 goals also, the same number that won Leiceester’s Jamie Vardy the prize the year before that.
In 2018-19, three players shared the award with 22 goals; Salah, Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Thus, you have to go back to 2017-18 to find a Premier League Golden Boot winner who scored more than Haaland this season.
That was Salah, who hit 32 goals in 36 games for Liverpool.
It won’t be long until Haaland breaks that too, or the overall record for Premier League goals for a season of 34 set by Andy Cole in 1994 and matched by Alan Shearer.a year later.
Haaland a sensation since Man CIty move
Haaland completed a €60 million transfer to Man City from Borussia Dortmund last summer after the release clause in his contract was activated.
The striker turned down Real Madrid in order to join the English champions.
Haaland has broken numerous records since joining City.

He has had the best start in front of goal in Premier League history, while he became the fastest player in the league to hit back-to-back hat-tricks, which he achieved against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.
He also became the first player ever to score three home hat-tricks in a row following his treble against Man Utd. He now has four hat-tricks this season.
In total, Haaland has an incredible 31 goals in 26 games this season in all competitions.
