Gvardiol reveals January plan amid Real Madrid and Chelsea rumours
Josko Gvardiol has spoken about his future amid rumours linking the defender with a transfer away from his current club, RB Leipzig.
Gvardiol has been linked with a transfer away from Leipzig in recent times after an impressive few months with the German club since signing for them in the summer of 2021.
He also had a great World Cup with Croatia, spurring them all the way to the semi-final, even getting the better of Brazil in the quarter-final.

Top clubs across Europe are interested in signing the 20-year-old defender in the near future, but both player and club have stated the Croatian is open to staying at Leipzig.
Gvardiol speaks on future
Speaking to the media, RB Leipzig director Max Eberl spoke of his desire to keep hold of Gvardiol in the summer: “We are not interested in letting Josko Gvardiol go this summer.”
Gvardiol reiterated Eberl’s plan and said he is happy to stay at RB Leipzig and believes him and the club have common goals for the future.

“My plan is to stay here. I think everyone has read Max Eberl's statement. It's okay with me. I met him a few months ago. I look forward to
him and our common ideas for the future,” he said.
Over the last few months, the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea have shown an interest in the player with a desire to make a move.
Chelsea reportedly made a €90 million offer in the summer but may have to fork out a bigger sum if they are to land him in the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid see Gvardiol as another young talent to add to their side having already signed the likes of Vinicius Jr., Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Endrick in recent years.
Where he ends up remains to be seen but what’s clear is that there is plenty of interest in Gvardiol and there will be a big fee involved in his transfer.
