Who's on Manchester United's transfer list?
As we have reported since the summer, Manchester United will be moving on a lot of players this year.
Obviously many things have changed - the transfer market is an unpredictable mistress - but for the most part, the same crop of players are facing the chop, with various reports now emerging that some of the first-team stars of last season are in their last months as Red Devil players.
Indeed, as we broke six months ago, Harry Maguire will be moved on - with one report now linking the England international with a transfer to West Ham.
Scott McTominay isn’t getting game-time and is open to a move to Newcastle, who would need to cut down their wage bill to make any sort of attempt to bring him in and abide by FFP rules. Man Utd don't want to sell the midfielder this January, though.

Antony Elanga is now linked with Everton. Fred will likely go, the same as Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones, and Donny van de Beek, who of which we reported would be sold by the club this year. You can put Facundo Pellistri in the 'maybe' pile.
We had heard Luke Shaw wouldn’t stay but his form has changed that. He still wants a long-term deal - over five years - owing to being injury-laden. That will get done - as too with Marcus Rashford.
Alejandro Garnacho, we exclusively revealed, has penned a new deal - a contract on an incentivised structure. Club will sort the in-house media rollout before informing the national reporters. We hear agents are still talking with the club about their fee but the deal is in place.
Also, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who looked to be one of the first ones who would be sold, has done well this year, slotting in for the injured Diogo Dalot. It all remains to be seen with the right-back in terms of the summer but it seems like he’s set to stay now for this season at least.
Question marks remain over Jadon Sancho. If he didn’t cost so much he might not have been spared so much time. But there is encouragement he can come back fitting fit and become a key player.
Erik ten Hag’s revolution
Man Utd have given Erik ten Hag a bigger hand in recruitment compared with his predecessor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He works closely with football director John Murtagh over recruitment and deals.
Both are still assessing the market. The club are still in need of a striker - but that position and the midfield will be addressed in the upcoming summer rather than now. Declan Rice, Frenkie de Jong, and Jude Bellingham all targets for the next window. Bruno Guimaraes, liked by the club last year, was always a pipe dream. His trajectory at Newcastle has been too great and the player would not want the move from St James’ Park.
Business looks to be done other than loan moves in this window. Everything points to a majority sale by the Glazers, as we reported earlier this month. Now, as per reports this week, things are really set in place and it’s more than likely that the club will be under new owners in a matter of months.
The Glazers know they are in a far greater position to sell with Ten Hag in the dugout and a Champions League spot. Their era is very much nearing its end
