Man Utd fans will love what Sabitzer said about the club
Manchester United are set to unveil Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer as their third and final addition of the January transfer window.
After capturing loan deals for Jack Butland and Wout Weghorst from Crystal Palace and Burnley respectively, the Red Devils were forced into the market on Deadline Day because of an injury to Christian Eriksen that will virtually end the player’s season.
With the Glazer brothers reticent to spend as they try to sell the club, loan options were examined across Europe, with Man Utd having used up their two domestic temporary transfers on the aforementioned players.
Deadline Day: Every confirmed transfer around Europe
A rapid process ultimately meant that United plumped for Sabitzer, despite having been offered numerous players.
Sabitzer, though, is the player who is Old Trafford bound.

A dream come true for Sabitzer
Man Utd fans will be pleased to see the Austria international arrive at the club given the obvious passion he had for playing at Old Trafford when old footage of him prior to a Champions League match at the venue with RB Leipzig emerged as it became clear he would join the Red Devils.
Speaking to the media in German, he explained: “I'm just happy to be here, because I used to see this stadium on TV as a kid and I always wanted to come here. So being here as an opposition is something very special.”
Sabitzer has found his game time frustratingly limited since moving to Bayern Munich in 2021 from Leipzig and will be hungry to make an impact at his new side.
The terms of the loan deal have not yet been made official, but regardless of the presence of a purchase option or not, a strong few months will only enhance his chances of a prolonged stay at Man Utd.
