Manchester United have a problem in their pursuit of Napoli’s Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen as Chelsea have joined the race for him as well.

Osimhen has been flying for Napoli this season as he sits on top of the Serie A top scorers charts, with his club sitting on top of the table.

The Nigerian has often been hampered by injury problems but he has put that behind him in this campaign to become one of Europe’s most prolific players.

As a result, there is plenty of interest in Osimhen, and now Chelsea will compete with the likes of Manchester United and PSG for his signing.

Osimhen wanted by Premier League duo

Manchester United have been in the market for a number nine and have been linked to a host of players in recent times ahead of a big summer move.

The likes of Harry Kane and Benjamin Sesko have been linked to the club in recent times but Osimhen is also one of the top targets for the position, given his form this season.

Now, Chelsea are set to enter the race as their own goalscoring problems are a concern, according to The Mirror, with the Blues struggling up top this season.

Graham Potter’s side have lacked any real cutting edge, despite the signings of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Joao Felix, and will look to fix that problem.

The Blues haven’t been shy to splash the cash this season, as they completed mega deals for players like Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk, Wesley Fofana and others, and Osimhen could be next.

Osimhen could go for a fee upwards of €120 million as Napoli are known to be tough negotiators and he is one of their top talents, performing at a very high level.

Other than the Premier League duo, PSG are also keeping tabs on the forward and whoever wants him will have to move fast.
