Liverpool tracking new Southampton signing who is "next Mane"
Liverpool are targeting a move for winger Kamaldeen Sulemana in the summer, after the player completed a move to Southampton in January.
Sulemana moved to Southampton from Rennes for a club-record fee of £22 million on transfer deadline day on a four-and-a-half-year deal as the Saints look to boost their survival push.
Sulemana previously played for Nordsjaelland in Denmark before his move to France and his potential is well-regarded across European football.

Clubs such as Barcelona and Real Madrid were tracking his progress, and Liverpool may be tempted to make a move in the summer depending on his Premier League performances.
Liverpool tracking Sulemana
It was reported earlier in the window that Liverpool were interested in making a move in the January window for a player they regard as the “new Sadio Mane.”
They were looking to bid £30 million, but ended up signing Cody Gakpo for more instead, however, they are still keeping tabs on
Sulemana’s progress now that he is in the Premier League with Southampton now.

According to Nacional, Liverpool are still interested in the player and will want to see if he can improve on his one goal and two assists from his time at Rennes so far this season.
Sulemana is still only 20-years-old and has a contract at Southampton until the summer of 2027 and Liverpool will have to match the fee Southampton paid if they do wish to land him in the summer transfer window.
Despite the fact that Liverpool are struggling in midfield, they are still looking for a new forward as Mane hasn’t been replaced properly since his departure to Bayern Munich.
Over the years, Liverpool have been signing plenty of players from Southampton, including mane, Virgil van Dijk, Adam Lallana and others, and Sulemana could be next if Liverpool progress with their interest.
