Man Utd, Chelsea told £100m Gvardiol not for sale
Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City have been warned that RB Leipzig won’t give up star defender Josko Gvardiol without a fight.
Gvardiol is being eyed up by several clubs across Europe after a series of impressive performances over the last year with the Bundesliga club.
He was also part of the Croatia squad that finished third at the World Cup this year and was part of the Team of the Tournament.

Now, it’s clear that clubs will have to spend big if they wish to land Gvardiol in the summer as the race for the defender hots up.
Gvardiol of interest to many
The defender is valued at £100 million, according to The Telegraph and many were impressed by his performance against Manchester City in the Champions League, where he towered above Ruben Dias to score the equaliser for RB Leipzig.
Gvardiol has a release clause worth £98 million, but that only kicks in next year, which means that clubs will have to pay around £100 million this year if they want to sign him.

In the summer last year, Chelsea wanted to sign Gvardiol but RB Leipzig rejected the offer, something Gvardiol said he was affected by.
RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose has said that the club are keen to keep hold of the player: “Josko Gvardiol will be a RB Leipzig player next season as well.
“I am the coach and I am asking for that. He is happy here. He said he wants to play in the Premier League, but he didn’t say when.”
Gvardiol’s father is a Liverpool supporter and the Reds are keen to sign the player as well, so loyalties could be split and it could sway the Croatian to a move.
Where he ends up remains to be seen but it’s clear that there’s plenty of interest in him and there will be plenty of competition for his signature.
