Liverpool join Arsenal and Chelsea in Caicedo race
Liverpool have joined Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton this summer, according to journalist Rudy Galletti.
The Reds have made the signing of a top central midfielder their priority this summer.
Their number one objective is Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham but they are well aware that will be a difficult dream to realise.

But respected transfer expert Rudy Galletti says that Liverpool are also in for Caicedo as an alternative.
“Klopp requested a midfielder already in January and the list for the summer to date is practically the same. Moises Caicedo is on the Liverpool radar,” Galetti told Give Me Sport.
Caicedo was the subject of a tug of war between Arsenal and Chelsea in the closing days of the January transfer window.
Both London sides put bids in for the Ecuador midfielder but Brighton rejected all offers.
Caicedo tried to force through a transfer by publicly requesting that he was allowed to leave.
What did Caicedo say?
"I am grateful to Mr. Bloom and Brighton for giving me the chance to come to the Premier League and I feel I have always done my best for them," he said on social media just days before the window closed. "I always play football with a smile and with heart.
"I am the youngest of 10 siblings from a poor upbringing in Santa Domingo in Ecuador. My dream always to be the most decorated player in the history of Ecuador.
"I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful.
"The fans have taken me into their hearts, and they will always be in my heart so I hope they can understand why I want to take up this magnificent opportunity."
This led to Brighton dropping Caicedo from the squad to play against Liverpool, a game they won 2-1.
In the end, Caicedo remained put but he is almost certain to leave this summer for a big club.
Liverpool may not be favoured to sign Caicedo also as it is believed he wants to join a team who finish in the top four. Newcastle have also been linked.
The Reds are currently languishing in 10th place, well off the Champions League positions.
