Real Madrid's Rudiger could be set for Premier League return
Tottenham are eyeing up a move for Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger in the summer, just a year after he moved to the reigning Spanish and European champions.
Rudiger joined Real Madrid this season after his contract with Chelsea had run out but has seen opportunities hard to come by at frequent points of the season.
With competition coming from Eder Militao and David Alaba, Rudiger hasn’t yet been able to nail down a first-team spot with Real Madrid.

Now, other clubs are circling around the German defender and a summer transfer could be a possibility for Rudiger.
Real Madrid departure could be on the cards
Fichajes report that Tottenham are keen to add him to the side and Rudiger doesn’t feel he can be an important member of the squad at Real Madrid.
Tottenham see him as the ideal partner at the back with Cristian Romero and they desperately need to improve their defensive quality.

Rudiger has priors of playing the Premier League and living in London having been with Chelseae for five years between 2017 and 2022.
Given Rudiger’s versatility and ability to shine in a back four or back three, he would be a worthwhile addition to the Tottenham squad.
Rudiger has a contract with Real Madrid until 2026 and the club are in no rush to cash in, but are aware they can get a significant fee for him if they do wish to sell him soon.
Antonio Rudiger has had a substandard start to life at Real Madrid, having joined on a free transfer from #CFC last summer.

Tottenham, meanwhile, will have other priorities for the season, such as extending contracts for Antonio Conte and ensuring Harry Kane stays at the club, before which they can move on to talks for new players like Rudiger.
Given his talent, it can be assumed that Rudiger would like to play at a club in the Champions League, which Tottenham may not be able to offer next season.
