Arsenal DOMINATE Footballer of the Year awards

Arsenal's dominant Premier League form over the past 12 months was honoured at the London Football Awards.

Three of the Gunners' superstars received major accolades, and head coach Mikel Arteta took home the Manager of the Year award.

Thanks to the Spaniard's guidance Arsenal are sitting pretty at the top of the table, five points clear of Manchester City. With smart tactical decisions and a sensible formation change that has enabled him to get the best out of his side, Arteta has established himself as one of the brightest minds in the game.

In terms of playing personnel, 24-year-old shot-stopper Aaron Ramsdale was deemed the Goalkeeper of the Year by a jury of football administrators and the media.

The former Bournemouth man has proved a worthy defender of Arsenal's net, and thanks to his exploits, the Premier League pacesetters currently boast the second-fewest conceded goals along with Manchester City.

Saka and Odegaard complete clean sweep

Teammate Bukayo Saka, meanwhile, was recognised as London's best young player. The 21-year-old has contributed to his side's title challenge with an impressive 10 goals and nine assists this season.

The youngster showed all his class when he dedicated his trophy to "all the children that are growing up in London with big dreams," as quoted by www.arsenal.com. "I was once in their shoes," he continued, "and it's always nice to remember that. It always makes winning things like this more special."

Midfield star Martin Odegaard concluded the clean sweep of men's performance-related awards when he was named the Premier League Player of the Year.

The 24-year-old midfield maestro is arguably the league's most complete player now and was duly recognised as such. He has 10 goals and seven assists to his name thus far.

Joining the quartet of men was Arsenal Women's defender and England captain Leah Williamson, who accepted the Power of Football award on behalf of the Lionesses.

Success at the London Football Awards is surely a portent of bigger and better things to come for the Gunners.
