Beyoncé decision could foil Tottenham in Arsenal transfer battle over ‘assist king’
Beyoncé could prove an unlikely pivotal figure for Tottenham in the transfer market as the summer window approaches, with Spurs set to battle for a string of big-name players.
It’s not been a vintage season for the north London side. Although they sit fourth in the Premier League table, they have suffered nine defeats – more than any other club in the top nine – and are not guaranteed to return the Champions League next season with Newcastle and increasingly Liverpool breathing down their necks.
Any edge they can get in order to land players is welcome. After announcing a partnership with F1 to host the world’s first in-stadium electric karting facility, they are now set to use Beyoncé as one of their weapons.

The American singer is due to play five concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer as part of her Renaissance World Tour, landing the club a huge financial windfall.
However, there is a problem. Tottenham are due to hold seven concerts this summer, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Wizkid to play the venue, but they only have licence for six.
According to The Telegraph, Spurs have applied for a special licence having gone rogue and gone ahead with selling tickets for an additional Beyoncé gig that was announced in February.

There is no guarantee that the decision will go in their favour. Arsenal, for instance, had a 2014 verdict in the High Court go against them in similar circumstances.
And it is ironic that it is Arsenal that Tottenham are set to battle in the summer for several targets, including Borussia Dortmund Julian Brandt, a man dubbed the ‘Bundesliga’s assist king’.
With the Gunners flying, Tottenham need everything to go in their favour to land the Germany international star. Bild reports that Brandt prefers the Emirates club as things stand. The additional income that might come from Beyoncé’s fifth Tottenham Hotspur Stadium concert would certainly be a welcome boost to Spurs; finances and, therefore, their chances of turning the tables in this deal.
