A report in CalcioMercato states that Todd Boehly is looking to launch a move for the Napoli striker in the summer transfer window, and is ready to double the salary of the Nigerian.

The attacker is enjoying another spellbinding season with the Serie A side, having netted 19 goals in 20 league appearances - while the side main on course for a Scudetto win.

The brilliant form of Osimhen has garnered attention from some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Chelsea.

Their American co-owner is now willing to provide the forward with a salary of €9 million annually, an increase of 100% from his current wage, as he continues with his lavish spending in the market.

Napoli have set a price tag of between €120m-€130m and are known to be very shrewd in the window, not giving up players lightly.

Manchester United are also keen on Osimhen but they are one of a few clubs hoping to land him.

However, the Serie A top-scorer has insisted that his sole focus at the moment is on Napoli, amid speculation linking him with a move away. Though he did concede that 'every player has the ambition to play in the Premier League.'

When asked by Corriere della Sera whether he would like to play in England, he responded “I think it is an ambition of all players. And who knows, maybe one day. Right now, I can assure you that it hasn’t even crossed my mind. It would distract me from what has been a beautiful season. Only Napoli. That’s all”.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has publicly stated that the Osimhen would only be sold if the price is right and that the side will do everything to keep him at the side.
