Rashford stalls on new Man Utd deal amid takeover fears
Marcus Rashford’s Manchester United future remains uncertain, with the ferociously in-form forward stalling over a new deal at Old Trafford.
As things stand, the 25-year-old – who has spent his whole career with Man Utd – is out of contract at the end of next season, meaning he could negotiate with non-English clubs in just eight months’ time.
The report from The Sun comes as Rashford is enjoying his campaign to date: the England star has netted 27 times in all competitions for Man Utd this term, with 19 of those goals coming in 25 appearances since the World Cup.

While there’s nothing to suggest that Rashford is prepared to quit Old Trafford imminently, he is said to be in no rush to put pen to paper as Man Utd’s takeover saga continues.
While the likes of INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani have submitted bids to buy the club, it appears that no one has yet met the Glazer family’s £6bn (€6.8bn) valuation.
There remains the possibility that the Glazers could stay at Old Trafford and instead give up a minority stake in Man Utd.
The 'Ronaldo rule'
It has also been speculated that Rashford, who is valued at €54.3M has concerns about Man Utd’s so-called ‘Ronaldo rule’ – which could limit how much he stands to earn at Old Trafford.
After Ronaldo reportedly took home roughly €545,000 per week during his controversy-laden second spell with Man Utd, the club are said to have introduced a weekly wage cap of around €340,000.
While no doubt having one eye on his future, Rahsford’s immediate focus will be on helping Man Utd secure qualification for next season’s Champions League; Erik ten Hag's side sit third in the Premier League with 12 games to go.
