Another game, another monstrous performance from Victor Osimhen.

Napoli cruised into the quarter-finals of the Champions League by thrashing Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday evening.

There was no doubt who the start of the show was.

Napoli striker Osimhen continued his sensational form in 2023 and in the 2022-23 season as a whole.

He scored twice on the night as Frankfurt had no answer to the Nigerian.

His first goal was simply world class as he rose majestically to head home Matteo Politano’s cross on the stroke of half-time.

Despite the cross being slightly behind him and with little pace on the ball, Osimhen generated power and precision to head into the top corner past Kevin Trapp.

Having broken the deadlock, Osimhen doubled the advantage early in the second half as he showed his predatory qualities by sliding the ball home from Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s cross.

That ended any chance of a Frankfurt comeback, with Piotr Zielinski winning and converting a penalty for the third goal.

Osimhen now has 23 goals in all competitions this season.

He is set to be one of the most wanted men on the transfer market this summer.

Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in signing him as they will sign a top striker.

And Man Utd fans made it clear on social media that they want the club to buy Osimhen and not Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who is also on their shortlist.
