OFFICIAL: Graham Potter SACKED by Chelsea
Graham Potter has been sacked by Chelsea, the club has confirmed.
Potter was at risk of the sack following yet another negative result on Saturday, when the Blues lost 2-0 at home to Aston Villa thanks to goals from Ollie Watkins and John McGinn.

And now Chelsea have confirmed that they have axed Potter.
"Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club.," a club statement read.
"Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition. In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid. Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future."
Potter had a disastrous time of things since replacing Thomas Tuchel as manager in the early weeks of the season.
Chelsea find themselves down in 11th position in the Premier League, 11 points off Champions League qualification with just 10 games to go.
The Blues’ only hope of qualifying for the Champions League now is by winning the competition this term.
But that will be very difficult as Chelsea play Real Madrid in the quarter-final and then would face Bayern Munich or Man City in the semis.
Boehly had attempted to be patient with Potter but that patience has run out.
The American has sanctioned a world record transfer outlay this season - both last summer and in January - and the results given the spending is unacceptable.
Nagelsmann favourite to replace Potter
Julian Nagelsmann is the new favourite for the Chelsea job with the bookmakers, having been sacked by Bayern Munich last week.
Second favourite is Mauricio Pochettino, who has been out of work since being sacked by PSG in 2022.
Other managers who have been linked with replacing Potter include Zinedine Zidane, Luis Enrique, Diego Simeone and Jose Mourinho.
