According to The Sun, the Chelsea winger is bringing over his mother and father from Ukraine in the hope that it will help him settle in off the pitch.

Mudryk is said to be lonely and missing some of his home comforts from Ukraine, and believes his parents can help him to adjust to living in London.

The wideman joined Chelsea for €100 million in January after the Blues hijacked Arsenal's deal for the Ukrainian winger.

However, the winger has endured a dreadful first couple of months at Chelsea.

He has managed no goals and just one assist in nine appearances amidst a string of poor performances.

Mudryk’s poor form played a role in Graham Potter getting sacked last week, with the former Brighton coach replaced by caretaker Frank Lampard.

The 22-year-old has already lost his place in the Chelsea first team, playing just 33 minutes off the bench in total in the past two matches against Liverpool and Wolves.

He once again delivered a disappointing performance as Chelsea lost 1-0 at Wolves in Lampard’s first match in interim charge on Saturday.

Mudryk is very unlikely to start in midweek as Chelsea play Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Chelsea have endured a disastrous 2022-23 season despite breaking the world record for money spent on transfers this campaign.

They are currently 11th in the Premier League, and their only hope of reaching next season’s Champions League is to win this year’s competition.
