Doekhi is a giant centre-back who has played a key role in Union Berlin’s fantastic Bundesliga season in which they are set to qualify for the Champions League.

The 24-year-old only joined Berlin last summer from Vitesse Arnhem but so impressive has he been that top clubs from all over Europe are looking to sign him at the end of the campaign.

This has been confirmed by Doekhi’s agent Seraino Dalgliesh in an interview with sempreinter.com.

Danilho Doekhi interested clubs

“Danilho has two years left on his contract. I can’t reveal any other details about his contract. But it is true that Inter and Napoli, just like other top clubs in Europe, including in the Bundesliga and the Premier League, are all looking at him,” Dalgliesh said.

“This is not a surprise because there are no other center backs in Europe who score this amount of goals in combination with his defensive pedigree.

“But there are no negotiations going on right now. Danilho is focused on his season with FC Union Berlin and qualifying for the Champions League next season.”

Dalgliesh has scored an impressive five goals in 31 matches this season, and Dalgliesh has compared him to Chelsea defensive legends John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho.

“I like to think of him as a mix of John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho, only much taller,” Dalgliesh said.

“He is good on the ball, extremely powerful in 1 v 1 situations defensively, and he is unstoppable in the air.

“Tests have shown that Danilho’s vertical leap is higher than that of NBA player Joel Embiid.”

Doekhi is also the nephew of former Chelsea player Winston Bogarde, who endured a dreadful time at Stamford Bridge from 2000 to 2004.
