Romano names Chelsea's favoured candidate to replace Potter
Chelsea are on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Graham Potter from the club.
The Blues find themselves in a miserable state, despite having spent more than £600 million on players this summer. They are in the bottom half of the Premier League table and the sacking of the former Brighton manager has led to little heartache from Chelsea supporters.

Now the board of the Stamford Bridge club find themselves in the position of searching for a new manager for the second time this season, with Potter only appointed to the role in September after the controversial sacking of Thomas Tuchel.
There is a long list of candidates who could potentially take the job, and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has revealed who the Chelsea board favour to take the job.

Taking to Twitter, he announced: “Julian Nagelsmann is the favorite candidate to replace Graham Potter as new Chelsea head coach, as reported yesterday.
“Nagelsmann was mentioned yesterday during internal discussions — Julian is considered a talented coach.
“Talks are ongoing to make best decision.”
No Pochettino contact
He subsequently added: “Understand there have been already approaches for Julian Nagelsmann to be the new Chelsea head coach. Talks will continue to make final decision — but he’s the favourite.
“No confirmation on Pochettino links at this stage. Nagelsmann, mentioned in internal talks yesterday.”
While many Chelsea supporters are eager to see Nagelsmann at the club, there is also a push in some quarters for former Spain head coach Luis Enrique to take command.
Indeed, the prospect of signing a manager who is presently a free agent may be appealing for Chelsea given that they are under Financial Fair Play (FFP) pressure and have been burned by spending a world-record fee to release Potter from his Brighton contract in January.
