How Jesus has shut up Arsenal teammate Jorginho
Gabriel Jesus and Jorginho have become Arsenal teammates this season, and the former has now passed a milestone to prove a point to the latter…
Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City for £45 million last summer, and was joined at the Emirates by Jorginho in January, who signed from Chelsea for £12m.
The Brazilian compatriots - Jorginho was born in Santa Catarina state even if he turns out for Italy internationally - have become fast friends in England, but it hasn't all been plain sailing.

Jesus might have been steering Arsenal to a first Premier League title since their 'Invincibles' season in 2004 with five goals and as many assists before his knee injury at the winter World Cup, but he was yet to pass his UK driving test.
He spent the down time learning to drive, and Jorginho happened to pass by whilst sitting his practical test, encouraging Jesus to roll down the window before pointing and laughing at the forward.

But Jesus has had the last laugh, having passed his test on Saturday.

Jesus has also added a further three goals since returning from injury, to take his goal-involvements to 12 this season, plundered at a rate of one every 120 minutes he has played.
A four-time Premier League winner with Man City, he has also added a wealth of experience to the side, even if he wasn't yet qualified to drive the team bus.
Jorginho has featured seven times in the Premier League since his move across London, starting four of those occasions, with Martine Odegaard, Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka generally preferred by Mikel Arteta for his three-man midfield.
Jorginho was a European champion with both Chelsea and Italy in 2020 and 2021, but a Premier League title continues to elude him.
If Jesus fires him to that title, it will be another serving of humble pie.
