Liverpool and Arsenal set to challenge Real Madrid for ‘dazzling’ La Liga star
Liverpool and Arsenal are set to battle it out with Real Madrid to sign one of La Liga’s stars of the season this summer in Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze.
The Nigerian has 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions and gained global attention when he grabbed two goals and an assist in Villarreal’s recent impressive win away to Real.
According to DefensaCentral in Spain, the performance ‘dazzled’ Real president Florentino Perez and has prompted major interest in Chukwueze.

However, while Real are reportedly keen on adding the 23-year-old to boost their attacking power next season, they are aware that Premier League sides could outbid them for Chukwueze.
The forward has a release clause of €100 million although there is a belief he could be available for €50m due to his contract expiring next summer.
Will Chukwueze be playing in the Premier League next season?
Born in Nigeria, Chukwueze has been with Villarreal since the age of 18 and made his breakthrough with the senior team in 2018, helping the Yellow Submarines lift the Europa League in 2021.
The left-footed winger is having his most prolific season yet and Premier League sides are expected to be the frontrunners for his signature on a cut price deal, with Aston Villa, Everton and West Ham also thought to be interested.
However, while Liverpool and Arsenal are described as major challengers to Real for Chukwueze, both teams are expected to prioritise midfield signings this summer.

Liverpool in particular are unlikely to sign another wide player, having brought in Cody Gakpo in the January, while Arsenal also signed Leandro Trossard from Brighton, meaning their need for a forward is less pressing.
As a result, Real could have a clear run at Chukwueze, with the club aware that manager Carlo Ancelotti needs to be supported with more attacking talent after a disappointing La Liga campaign.
