United are looking for more attacking firepower next season, with Marcus Rashford out on his own as their 27-goal top goalscorer in all competitions.

Whilst a No.9 is a priority, the likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen will cost north of €100 million, and Erik ten Hag would also like more strength in depth out wide, especially with concerns about Antony's output and Jadon Sancho's form in general.

Barca have been told to raise €200 million if they want to take part in La Liga - a competition they lead Real Madrid by 12 points in - next season, with Ansu likely put up for sale alongside fellow attacking wide men Raphinha and Ferran Torres.

Ousmane Dembele is considered untouchable at Camp Nou, but one, two, or three of the aforementioned could leave with Barca also planning the sensational return of Lionel Messi.

Man Utd 'especially' interested

"Barca are open to listening to offers for Ansu Fati, Raphinha and Ferran Torres so a revolution can take place in their attacking positions," write Sport.

"With Ansu, Barca have put out feelers and it is clear that there are teams very interested in signing him, especially Manchester United."

Ansu is valued at €26.7m by FootballTransfers' in-house algorithm, and while Barca won't achieve the €1 billion release clause in his contract, they could demand more for a player who has four more years to run on his deal.

Ansu's father and agent Bori recently hit out at his son's playing time under Xavi, although the Barca head coach has had to contend with a raft of injuries for his young star.

When Ansu has been fit he has performed. Since making his debut in 2019 the 20-year-old has tallied 26 goals and nine assists at a rate of one every 114 minutes he has played.
