‘Ten Hag attacking football a myth!’ Man Utd boss SLAMMED for parking the bus
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been slammed for his negative tactics against Newcastle.
The Dutchman, typically known for his attacking philosophy, was goaded online for the way his team set up against the Magpies at St James’ Park.
The battle for top-four saw the two sides play for the first time since Man Utd beat the northeast club at Wembley to win the Carabao Cup.

But the opening 30 minutes saw Man Utd very much play with their backs to the wall.
The move has annoyed some fans online, who took to social media to vent at the way in which the Red Devils had opted to play.

We could’ve brought in Roberto Di Matteo if we wanted to park the bus like that

Pep would dominate this game not park the bus https://t.co/PVsJalyOyj

Ten Hag eats words
It comes after Ten Hag raised concerns about Eddie Howe’s 'time-wasting tactics.' “Concern", said the former Ajax boss. “We know they delay, yeah. It's something that is what the referees don't want, they want to have tempo in the game.
"That is the aim of the Premier League to have tempo in the game. So they (referees) also have to be consistent to let the game go. Do and act what the policy is."
“Like we did in the two previous games, it's about us," he added. ‘As every game, we want to dictate, to control the game, but we play against a good opponent, we're aware of that. They've had a great season with their manager, the way of play. It's a team that is really hard to beat. We are looking forward to the challenge and the evidence is we can beat them.”
