Thomas Tuchel’s SHOCKING record for Bayern & Chelsea
In a season where a number of high-profile managers are having off-seasons - from Jurgen Klopp to Antonio Conte - perhaps the biggest disappointment so far has been Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel was a surprise appointment as Bayern Munich’s new manager on March 24 following the shock sacking of Julian Nagelsmann.
At the time of Tuchel’s appointment, Bayern were on course to win the treble.

Less than a month later and Tuchel has almost destroyed Bayern’s entire season. They were knocked out of the DFB Pokal by Freiburg, eliminated 4-1 on aggregate by Man City and are now behind Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga title race with just five games to go.
Tuchel’s record at Bayern so far is won two, drawn two and lost three, signaling what a dreadful start it has been in Bavaria. Bayern are four games without a win.
To make matters worse there was also a huge dressing room scandal after Sadio Mane punched Leroy Sane in the face following the defeat in Manchester.

Tuchel’s final days at Chelsea
This form at Bayern mirrors Tuchel’s doomed final days at Chelsea at the beginning of the 2022-23 season.
Tuchel was sacked after Chelsea lost their opening Champions League group game 1-0 at lowly Dinamo Zagreb.
This completed a terrible start to the season, which saw Tuchel win three, draw two and lose two of his first seven games.
After more problems off the pitch in Tuchel’s relationship with owner Todd Boehly, the German was relieved of his duties.
He was replaced by Graham Potter, who endured a terrible time of his own before his own sacking earlier this month.
In total this season, in 14 games that Tuchel has managed, he has won just five, drawn four and lost five.
These are numbers that are well short of what is expected for such an elite manager and at such big clubs like Chelsea and Bayern.
