The RB Leipzig star spoke about his respect for the Liverpool boss two years ago in an interview with Csisztu Channel.

The attacker has been linked with a move away from RB Leipzig ahead of the summer transfer window.

It is thought that Newcastle are keen admirers of the Hungarian, but his words on Klopp show that he is a big fan of the German and his work at Anfield.

Szoboszlai said: "I really like Jürgen Klopp. The kind of human being he is, the way he inspires the team, that they can come back from any situation. To me he is the best coach in the world."

Reds after No.10

Liverpool are in the hunt for a No.10 in the upcoming window - with Mason Mount thought to be the biggest target for that position at present.

The Chelsea player has not yet signed fresh terms with the Blues, with his current deal up in 2024.

The Reds have had an active interest since early this year, while FootballTransfers has been told that they have already put the groundwork in for some of their biggest targets.

Newcastle have been looking at Szoboszlai this year - with the Magpies also wanting a player to fulfil that position.

He has a €60million release clause and it is believed that his current side will ask for that to be met in full.

Szoboszlai was asked by a reporter at a recent game about his future. He replied: “Next question,” adding further fuel to the fire.

Leipzig boss Marco Rose, however, said that the player’s attention will be firmly on the last games of the season.

“Dominik Szoboszlai has developed excellently in Leipzig and knows what he brings to the team and our game," he told reporters before the win against Bayern Munich. "The most important thing is that he focuses on the last three games. We have Bayern, Schalke and the cup final. That’s where the focus has to be.”
