Liverpool transfer for priority target '90% done'
Liverpool's deal to sign Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister is '90 per cent' done, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Reds are looking to freshen up their midfield after a disappointing season. Having already said goodbye to Naby Keita, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and loan flop Arthur, Jurgen Klopp and incoming sporting director Jorg Schmadtke will dip into the market to fix the club's issues in the centre of the park.
The man most prominently linked with a summer move to Liverpool has been Brighton's World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister. The Argentine is enjoying a fairy tale season, having racked up 12 goals and three assists across all competitions this term.

Thanks in no small part to the 24-year-old's performances, Brighton will be going on a European adventure next term, but the midfielder may not be there to witness it.
Liverpool have been negotiating with Mac Allister for a while, and now Fabrizio Romano has given a new encouraging update on the state of the talks.
90% done
According to the transfer expert, the two parties are incredibly close to agreeing personal terms. Liverpool have had to act swiftly because Mac Allister's 'exit clause' becomes valid in June.
"I told you that there is a fixed amount in the contract of Alexis Mac Allister at Brighton, we can say that this is working like a release clause...Formally, it is something that Alexis Mac Allister's camp and Brighton decided when he signed a new contract months ago."
"In that moment," the Italian continued, "they decided the fixed amount for Alexis Mac Allister to leave the club in the summer, and to leave the club in June. So, early in the window."

"This is why Liverpool want to be fast, the agreement of personal terms is 90 per cent done. So, Alexis Mac Allister is really, really close to Liverpool. But this clause is also helpful on [the] club side, Liverpool need now to complete the agreement on these details and then, in that moment, will be able to complete the deal."
